95 per cent COVID infected recovered in Karnali Province

The recovery rate of COVID-19 in Karnali Province in the recent days has increased. On Monday alone, a total of 512 infected ones returned home after complete recovery from the coronavirus infection.

In Karnali, altogether 17,150 individuals tested positive for coronavirus from 115,433 tests.

Acting Director of Health Services Directorate of Karnali Province Dr Rabin Khadka shared that 95 per cent of the total infected ones returned home after recovery from COVID-19.

“Of the 1,113 tests in the past 24 hours, 206 people tested positive for coronavirus,” Dr Khadka said.

Likewise, four individuals succumbed to the virus in the province in the past 24 hours. The deceased are two from Surkhet and one each from Salyan and Jumla.

According to him, six patients are receiving treatment in ventilator support and 53 others in ICU.

Similarly, 370 infected persons are in isolation facilities while 5,171 are in home isolation.

According to the Directorate, a total of 247 persons died of coronavirus infection in the Karnali Province till Monday.
