Police in Bajhang district on Thursday arrested an absconding murder convict in Masta Rural Municipality-5.
The arrested has been identified as Gyan Bahadur Bohara (47), alias Gyanu Bohara of Masta-5.
According to police, Bohara had been on the run since the District Court Bajhang convicted him of murder and sentenced 20 years in prison on February 2, 2007.
A team of security personnel deployed from the Bajhang District Police Office (DPO) detained him from his residence, said police.
Meanwhile, the arrestee has been sent to Prison Office, Bajhang where he would serve the sentence, the DPO informed.
