Various educators and academic institutions from Nepal, India and Bhutan have received the first 'SAARC Education Award 2023'.
Gorkhaland Territorial Administration Assembly Vice Chairperson Rajesh Chauhan honoured them with the Award amidst a ceremony held at Saint Joseph School, North Point in Darjeeling and the event was co-organised by the Nepal-based 'Sikshalaya National Monthly' magazine, the SAARC Journalist Forum and the Rotary Club of Darjeeling.
On the occasion, Chauhan highlighted on the essence of education to take the society ahead.
Himalaya College Principal Ramhari Siwal, James School Principal Anil Chandra Rai, St. Xavier School Principal Father Samuel Simick, Prerana Sadan's Principal Hira Maharjan, PABSON Vice Chairperson Sangita Silwal and Aiselu Bhume Secondary School Management Committee Chairperson Nandaram Neupane are among those winning the Award from Nepal.
