The Education Development and Coordination Unit (EDCU) has warned the teachers and school staff not to campaign after finding that the teachers themselves were openly involved in the party's election campaign.
Unit chief Kushmaraj Upadhyaya said that it would be against the code of conduct for the teachers' party to be openly involved in the campaign. He said that the law related to education will not allow teachers to participate in the election campaign.
The unit has written to the school asking them not to take any action against the election code of conduct. The unit has stated that action will be taken as per the rules if any action is taken against the prevailing act, rules and code of conduct.
Unit chief Upadhyaya said that the initiative was taken to discourage the teachers after receiving complaints that they were directly involved in the party's election campaign.
