Another earthquake occurred in West Nepal less than half an hour later.
Seismologist Dr. Lokbijaya Adhikari said that the earthquake occurred at 3:06 in the afternoon with its epicenter at Chainpur in Bajhang district.
Earlier, at 2:40 minutes, the National Earthquake Measurement Center reported that an earthquake of magnitude 5:3 occurred near Talkot in Bajhang district.
The details of how much damage was caused by the earthquake are not yet available.
