Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane have appreciated the significant role that the Armed Police Force has been playing in the country's internal peace and security, border security, and disaster management.
Speaking at a function held to mark the 22nd Armed Police Force (APF) Day at the APF headquarters in Halchok, Kathmandu this evening, Home Minister Lamichhane also lauded the role of the organization in the security of important establishments and individuals, industries, and revenue collection.
Emphasizing that the society, the country, and the people should be able to get a sense of law and order through every activity of the armed police, Home Minister Lamichhane said that the ministry will play a special role in developing more personnel, providing resources, and making necessary policies.
He also expressed the belief that all the members of the Armed Police Force would work to make the organization vibrant while assuring continued support from the line ministry.
On the occasion, Inspector General of Armed Police Raju Aryal said that the armed force has proved the rationale of the organization after passing through various tests. He said that the Armed Police is determined to implement its plan to achieve the goals of good governance, prosperity, and rapid economic growth taken by the Government.
