It is now possible to apply online for financial assistance to those who have died or been injured while going for foreign employment with a labor permit.
The Foreign Employment Board has stated that the families of the workers who died at foreign employment can apply for financial assistance from the local level by using the online system of financial assistance and compensation.
Minister for Labor, Employment and Social Security Kisan Shrestha had made a ministerial decision on 29 February to get help from the local level by filling the form online within a year of the victim's family. He had approved and implemented the 'Foreign Employment Welfare Information Management System (Operation and Management) Procedure 2078'.
On Thursday, the Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration issued a notice informing all the local levels about the arrangement made by the Foreign Employment Board to fill up the form online.
