Ballot boxes of five districts collected by helicopter

Nepali Army helicopters have been used to bring ballot boxes and election materials to the respective district headquarters and counting places from five districts where road transport facilities are not accessible.

After the Election Commission assigned the responsibility of transporting the ballot boxes to the War Operations Directorate of the Nepali Army by suitable aircraft, the materials have started to be brought. According to the commission, helicopters have been used to bring ballot boxes and election materials from 34 polling centers of Humla's Adanchuli Rural Municipality, Changkheli Rural Municipality, Tanjakot Rural Municipality and Sarkegad Rural Municipality to Sarkegad Bazar, the district headquarters, and nine polling stations of Khumbu Pasanglhamu Rural Municipality of Solukhumbu district.

Similarly, helicopters were used to bring ballot boxes and election materials from three polling stations of Saipal Rural Municipality of Bajhang to Ekankuri Danda, and ballot boxes and election materials from 22 polling stations of Chumanumri Rural Municipality of Gorkha District to District Headquarters Gorkhabazar.

Similarly, helicopters were used to bring ballot boxes and election materials from five polling stations of Manang's Narpabhumi Rural Municipality to the district headquarters Chame and ballot boxes and election materials from four polling stations of Bhotkhola Rural Municipality of Sankhuwasabha to Khandbari headquarters, Shaligram Sharma Paudel, spokesperson of the commission informed.
