Bird counting begins in Changunarayan forest

The census has been started in the forest area of ​​Changunarayan Municipality where many species of birds are found. A team including Tribhuvan University Associate Professor Kamal Raj Gosain has started counting the birds in the area around Muhanpokhari in the border area of ​​Ward Nos. 6 and 7.

A team comprising representatives of postgraduate and doctoral students of various colleges including the Central Department of Environmental Sciences and representatives of the Bird Conservation Association has started bird counting. According to Gosain, there are 53 species of birds in this area of ​​Changunarayan. Additional species of birds will also be studied during the census. The bird counting and study started from Changunarayan Municipality will be done in other areas as well, said Associate Professor Gosain.
