A blood collection campaign has been launched at the Birgunj-based Blood Transfusion Center in Parsa to ease the demand for blood for the last time. According to the Blood Transfusion Center run by the Nepal Red Cross Society, a blood donation collection campaign has been started in collaboration with various organizations after there was a shortage of blood of each group in the center.
Such blood collection campaign has been started after problems started appearing in the treatment of patients with complex and serious diseases due to depletion of blood in the center. In Birgunj alone, there is a daily demand of 40 to 50 pints of blood.
Due to the involvement of social organizations and political parties in the local elections, there was no blood donation program in Parsa and Bara last time.
