Police on Saturday found the body of a woman who had gone missing in Parshuram Municipality of Dadeldhura district.
The deceased has been identified as Asmita Dhami (26), a health worker at Jamarani Basic Health Centre in Parshuram-8 in Dadeldhura district.
According to Dadeldhura District Poice Office (DPO), the body of Dhami had gone missing since she was dispatched to Jogbudha Hospital to transfer the anti-Covid vaccines among other medical supplies.
Dhami's family members had lodged FIR with Jogbudha-based Area Police Office (APO) after she did not return home.
According to locals, the body of Dhami might have been dumped after killing her. However, Police have yet to ascertain the cause of her death.
A joint team of police personnel deployed from the DPO and the APO have been mobilised to carry oout the investigation into the case.
