It has been decided to close the border with India from Tuesday night in view of the local level election in Saptari.
Chief District Officer Jarnadan Gautam said that the entire border with neighbouring India will be closed from 12 noon on Tuesday to 12 noon on Friday to ensure free, fair and fearless local elections.
Meanwhile, in view of the local level election, the sale and consumption of alcohol have been banned from Tuesday. He informed that it has been decided to stop his business and consumption as alcohol can cause various incidents and action will be taken if anyone is found to have acted against the decision.
The industrialists, businessmen and general public of the district have been urged not to store and distribute liquor during the election period. Also, the district should use vehicles only with permission, maintain mutual harmony and abide by the code of conduct
