The bridge over the Rapti River linking Sisahaniya and Gadhawa has been damaged by floodwater in Rapti Rural Municipality, Dang district. The tarmacked road leading to the south of the bridge has been damaged.
With this, vehicular movement through the bridge has come to halt. A request has been made to the Road Division Office, Nepalgunj to immediately maintain the road, said Chief District Officer Ram Bahadur Kurumbang.
The 860-metre-long bridge is the second-longest bridge of Nepal.
