Buddha Air will operate flights from the newly constructed Pokhara International Airport from January.
The Nepal Civil Aviation Authority has already announced that Pokhara International Airport will be operational from January 1, 2023. The company said that all preparations have been made to take off from the new airport, which is considered very good in terms of physical infrastructure. Buddha Air has requested the passengers to check in at a certain time as the flight will be from the new airport.
Since IFR technology has also been installed at the airport, it is now possible to fly even in low visibility. The airport has a yamp bus to transport passengers from the terminal building to the plane. To get around the passenger ship and the terminal building, you have to use the ¥amp bus. Check-in counters No. 3, 4 and 5 have been designated for Buddha Air at Pokhara International Airport.
Buddha said that every destination in the country like Kathmandu will be gradually connected from Pokhara airport. With the permission of the civil authority, night flights will also be conducted from 23 February.
After getting international permission, Buddha Air has planned to fly from Pokhara to Varanasi in India. Buddha Air has 11 ATR-72 and three ATR-42 aircraft. Buddha Air is going to induct three more ATR-72 aircraft in the near future.
