The Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS) has made preparations to publish the report of a national census of the local level for the first time.
Only district-level reports of census used to be published till 2021/22. Director of the Bureau, Dhundiraj Lamichhane, told RSS that the local-level statistics report was going to be published for the first time since the State adopted the state restructuring system.
All the 77 districts have already sent the forms of counting of the population of 2021 to the center. The Bureau has made preparations to enter the details into the computer system till January 2022. Activities would be forwarded to conclude the task of entering the details within six months.
Lamicchane shared that the report would be made public at the beginning of the coming fiscal year. The CBS has made preparation to release a separate census report of centers, provinces, districts, and local levels this year. Nepal conducted a national census for the first time in 1968.
