A child died after drowning in Khundepokhari located at 5 Pasryang, Pokhara Metropolitan City.
Police Inspector Gyan Bahadur Khadka of the District Police Office informed that the police team deployed to search for Sunita KC's four-year-old son Suhan KC, who is currently living in Pokhara-5 Dharapanimarg, was missing since 6 pm on Monday.
Armed Police and Nepal Police 'rescue' team searched for the child on the suspicion that he had drowned in the pond. Khadka said that the search was started yesterday after the family informed the police when KC, who had left home to play, did not return home till late.
The police said that the child has been kept at the West Regional Hospital under the Pokhara Institute of Health Sciences for an autopsy and preparations are being made to hand him over to his relatives. The police believe that the child may have fallen into the pond while playing.
