Candidates of the alliance of Nepali Congress, CPN (Maoist Center), and CPN-Unified Socialists have won the local level election in Gharpajhong village of Mustang district.
Mohan Singh Lalchan of the Nepali Congress, a candidate for the post of village chairman from the alliance, has won by two votes. According to the office of the Chief Electoral Officer of Mustang, Lalchan got 760 votes while his rival Sanjay Kumar Thakali of UML got 758 votes.
According to the Office of the Chief Electoral Officer, Jamuna Thakali of the Nepali Congress got 693 votes while her rival Meem Kumari Sherchan of the UML got 618 votes. In the local level election held on Friday, there were 2,084 voters out of which 76.68 percent (1,598) of the votes had been cast in Gharpajhong village municipality.
CPN-UML candidate Phanindra Thakali has won the election for the post of ward chairman of Gharapjhong village municipality-3. The panel including Yama Prasad Thakali of the Nepali Congress has won the ward chairmanship of Gharpajhong-4.
