Hou Yanqi, the Chinese ambassador to Nepal, had a courtesy meeting with Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota.
A meeting was held between them on Friday at the Speaker's official residence, Lainchaur. The meeting was focused on the relations between the two countries and their mutual interests.
Speaker Sapkota clarified that Nepal is always committed to the one-China policy and said that Nepal is always alert and aware of not allowing Nepali land to be used against neighboring countries.
There was also a discussion between them regarding the reopening of the trade border between the two countries.
Ambassador Hou expressed her commitment to China's continued support and cooperation in the development and prosperity of Nepal in the future.
