COVID-19 cases gradually decreasing

The number of coronavirus infection has gradually deceased in the recent days.

On Tuesday, the country reported 5,583 new cases while a total of 8,267 infected recovered during the same period, the Ministry of Health and Population said.

The Ministry said the number of active cases of coronavirus infection in the country at present is 74,653.

Likewise, 9 persons infected from the coronavirus passed away in the past 24 hours, taking the total deaths to 11,752.

The Ministry said that Morang, Sunsari, Jhapa, Dhanusha, Saptari, Siraha, Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Bhaktapur, Chitwan, Makawanpur, Kavre, Nuwakot, Kaski, Nawalparasi Purba, Banke, Rupandehi, Dang and Kailali have more than 500 cases each of COVID-19.

Similarly, 15 districts have more than 200 cases each.

The Ministry stated that 279 patients are receiving treatment in ICU beds while 50 others are in ventilator support.

Likewise, almost 400,000 people received COVID-19 vaccines in the past 24 hours.
