A team led by Janardan Gautam, joint secretary of the ministry and coordinator of the investigation committee, went to India this morning for an on-site study. The committee has also stated that it will take information regarding the complaint lodged by Indian SSB and locals at the Indian Police Station.
Jaisingh Dhami, owner of Beas Gaonpalika-2, went missing in the Mahakali River at Khalanga on July 31. The investigation committee has reached Darchula to study the incident. The missing person has not been found yet.
The team left for Gasku today after holding discussions with journalists, human rights activists, political parties and people's representatives of Beas village on Wednesday. A team from the local area will observe the bridge connecting Nepal and India.
The Indian government has denied the allegations in a statement issued Friday stating "Similar, baseless allegations concerning the US military have been made more than once. The government has stated that it will take necessary decision only as per the report of the investigation committee.
