A young man of Gaurishankar Gaunpalika-3 of Dolakha has died under suspicious circumstances.
The deceased has been identified as Yan Bahadur Basnet, 24, son of Dil Bahadur Basnet. A local Jipchiring Sherpa said that the body was found near the house of Yan Bahadur, who had been without contact since Tuesday evening.
A police team has reached the spot and further investigation is underway, said Dolakha Police Chief Ganga Poudel. The father of the deceased Basnet had become the candidate for the post of ward chairman from the Nepali Congress in the local level election.
Yan Bahadur Basnet, who was working at Manedanda Secondary School in Jhaku, left home at 6.30 pm after completing his work and did not return home till late in the evening. Yan Bahadur, who has been missing since Tuesday, was found dead in the forest near Sarsepu School in Jhaku this morning, according to police.
