The Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ) Upatyaka Pradesh Samiti has demanded full implementation of the Working Journalists Act, 2052 BS. The committee has also stated that some media houses have not provided the regular salaries and other services in recent times and have not fully implemented the Working Journalist Act, 2052 BS.

The fourth plenary meeting of the committee also decided to play a coordinating role in assisting journalists and media persons by reactivating the Covid-19 Valley Coordinating Committee (CVCC) as the transition to the new variant of Corona spread rapidly. "As the transition to the new variant of the Covid is high, it has been decided to urge all journalists and media personnel who are hard at work in reporting and communication to exercise caution," the statement said.

The committee has demanded to stop such activities immediately as it has come to know that the work of transferring and renewing the membership from the central office has been done without the recommendation of the states and without informing the states, contrary to the constitution of the Federation of Nepali Journalists.

The committee has demanded immediate rectification of such activities saying that the payment of public welfare advertisements, which was being provided by the Department of Information and Broadcasting earlier, is being done by the Advertising Board but not paid on time.
