The District Hospital Khandbari here has closed all services except emergency ones after eight health workers were tested COVID positive.
Medical superintendent Dr Yogendra Mani Basnet informed that the health services were halted for a week from Monday after the health workers were found infected. Now, only emergency service, delivery service, and fever clinic are open.
However, the District Health Office has informed that the vaccination drive would continue. With the beginning of the third wave of coronavirus, the number of active infection in the district has reached 141. So far, 47 have got recovery.
Similarly, the District Prison has prohibited people from meeting inmates for a week in view of the growing COVID cases, according to jailer Binod Adhikari.
