Dil Bahadur Thapa, the driver of National Independent Party Chairman Rabi Lamichhane, fell from the roof of his house and was seriously injured.
According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Vijayraj Pandit, Spokesperson of District Police Office Chitwan, the driver who was sleeping on the roof of Lamichhane's residence in Bharatpur fell from the roof of the house on the third floor at around 4 o'clock on Monday morning.
The condition of the 39-year-old driver Thapa is critical, police said.
His leg and head were seriously injured. He is being treated at the medical college in Bharatpur. The police are investigating the matter. Chairman Lamichhane is a candidate in the by-election in Chitwan-2. He was elected from this constituency before.
