An office building of the Dhaulagiri Rural Municipality-2, Lulang in Myagdi district has been constructed. The single-storey earthquake-resistant and disabled-friendly building with five rooms has been constructed at Lamsung.
As informed, contract signing was made with Thapa Construction Service in 2077 BS for the building construction. The contract of Rs 5.6 million was signed with the contractor in a way to complete the construction in 18 months.
Rural Municipality Chairperson Prem Prasad Pun inaugurated the building amidst a programme on Saturday. The building has working chambers of ward chairperson, secretary and store-keeping space.
Representative of the contractor, Resham Bahadur Bhandari said building construction was delayed due to floods and landslides.
Ward Chairperson Ak Prasad Wile said the new building has been in use since this week to deliver public services.
Rural Municipality Chairperson Pun said necessary equipment will be immediately managed in the ward office building.
The office building of Dhaulagiri Rural Municipality ward 7 has also been constructed. It was built at the cost of Rs 4.7 million.
