Minister for Urban Development Ram Kumari Jhankri has said that Nepal's economy has not collapsed as rumoured in the market. At the 12th Annual General Meeting of the Electronic Entrepreneurs Association held here today, she clarified that Nepal's economy has not collapsed as rumoured in the market. Minister Jhankri urged not to create artificial shortages in the market by spreading rumours.

She said, "The country's economy has not collapsed as rumoured in the market. Normal pressure on the economy is not new. There is no need to panic looking at Nepal's economy. ”

Stating that it is a crime to leak serious government data and confidential information, she said that action would be taken against those who leaked such information. Stating that the rise in crude oil prices in the Gulf countries and some of the remnants of the war between Russia and Ukraine have been seen in Nepal's economy, she opined that there is no need to panic.

Stressing the need to increase the use of electronic materials to replace imports in the economy, she stressed the need to promote indigenous industries. Chairman of the Kathmandu Electronic Entrepreneurs' Association Saroj Kumar Regmi said that banks and financial institutions have raised interest rates unnecessarily and demanded that interest rates should be ensured and entrepreneurs should be given concessions.
