An elderly man has died after a vehicle with an Indian license plate struck the pedestrian. The deceased has been identified as Tara Nath, 70, of Krishnapur-2 Bani, according to Inspector Karna Bahadur Bohara of Area Police Office Jhalari. "The vehicle involved in the collision has been identified," said Inspector Bohara. The driver has not been in contact, but the police are trying to reach him.
Locals have blocked the East-West Highway demanding identification of the vehicle involved in the collision and action to be taken against him and compensation to the family of the deceased.
