An elderly woman was beaten to death over a land dispute at Chakraghatta Rural Municipality in Sarlahi district yesterday.
Sagar Devi Ray, 70, from Belhi of Chakraghatta-2 died after she was beaten up by her neighbor over a land dispute, according to Superintendent of Police, Prabin Pokhrel.
The victim's daughter Sikiliya Devi Yadav blamed the family members of neighbor Pukar Ray beat up her mother to death.
The dead body has been kept at Provincial Hospital, Malangwa postmortem. Investigation into the case is underway, the police added.
