Experimental driver's license examination from Chitwan

For the first time in the district, an experimental examination of a driver's license will be held. Preparations have been made to take the exam from the last week of July. According to Binod Poudel, chief of the Transportation Management Service Office, Chitwan, driver's licenses can now be obtained from Chitwan.

He said that the experimental examination will be held in Bharatpur from the last week of July after the office makes all preparations for the distribution of licenses. A 'trial centre' is being set up by the private sector for experimental testing. According to Poudel, two companies have been shortlisted.

The financial proposal of the company is being opened at the District Administration Office on July 7. After that, notice has to be issued for a seven-day agreement and a 15-day agreement. "As the process progresses, we will open the form online," he said. Or the process will move forward from the second week of July, he said. Six centres had submitted technical and financial proposals to provide trial centres in Chitwan. Mahalakshmi Trial Center and Sadguru Driving have been selected in the evaluation of the technical proposal. Chief Poudel said that a trial centre that proposes to provide a trial centre for a small fee will be selected in the economic evaluation.

He informed that a trial of 'A', 'B' and 'C' class vehicles will be conducted from Chitwan initially. The ‘A’ category includes motorcycles, scooters, and mopeds, the ‘B’ category includes four and three-wheeled small vehicles and the ‘C’ category includes heavy and medium-sized vehicles.

Residents of the district have to go to Hetauda, ​​Birgunj, Kawasoti, Kathmandu and other places for the permit. According to him, 70 percent of those going to Hetauda are from Chitwan. Half of those going to Kawasoti are from this district. In Hetauda, ​​about 400 cars and about 1,000 two-wheelers are being tested every year. According to him, there will be more in Chitwan than in Hetauda.
