Finance Ministry approves Rs 81m for 12 hospitals

The Finance Ministry has approved a budget of Rs 81 million for 12 hospitals to set up oxygen plants, oxygen tanks and high dependency units (HDU) and to purchase machines for polymerase chain reaction (PCR) tests.
Of this total, Teaching Hospital in Maharajgunj has been allotted Rs 80 lakh, whereas District Hospital in Chautara and District Hospital in Dailekh have been provided Rs 75 lakh each. Similarly, District Hospitals in Dhankuta, Jaleshwor and Ilam have also been allocated Rs 75 lakh each.
Meanwhile, the District Hospital in Sankhuwasabha has been allotted Rs 80 lakh and Ramechhap Hospital has been provided Rs 75 lakh. Likewise, Chaurjohari Hospital in Rukum (West) and Tikapur Hospital in Kailali have been allocated Rs 75 lakh each.
Okhaldhunga Hospital and Byas Hospital have also been provided Rs 25 lakh each.
The Finance Ministry has been approving budget to various hospitals to control the spread of the coronavirus on the recommendation of the Ministry of Health and Population.
