Due to the incessant rain since Saturday, five highways across the country have been completely blocked. According to the statistics of the road department, 41 highways are partially open.
Chatra-Mulghat-Majhitar-Amarapurdanda-Ganeshchowk (Tamor Corridor), Tansen-Ridi-Korla, Dumre Beshisahar-Chame, Madan Bhandari Highway and Karnali Highway are completely blocked.
The department said that efforts are being made to open the blocked roads.
The department urges passengers who use the completely blocked road to use an alternative road. According to the department, 145 roads have now been reopened after being blocked.
