Five implicated in Sankhuwasabha murder case to be presented at court

Police are preparing to present five persons implicated in the brutal murder of six members of a family at the Sankhuwasabha District Court on Sunday.

Police investigation into the murder case will conclude tomorrow, according to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Laldhoj Subedi at Sankhuwasabha District Police Office (DPO). Currently, the investigation is underway taking five accused into police custody at the DPO.

The DPO on September 20, paraded Khadga Bahadur Karki (47) as the mastermind behind the murder and three others. Before that, on September 12, police had made public Lok Bahadur Karki, a nephew of one of the victims Tej Bahadur, as a prime suspect. Lok Bahadur on September 11 had confessed to police that he had committed the crime that took place on September 6.

Lok Bahadur killed Tej Bahadur and other members of his family including minors. The site where the murder took place is at a distance of 40 metres from the Tej Bahadur's house. The only member of the Karki family left unharmed is Tej Bahadur's father Boudhaman Karki (85).
