The flood in Melamchi River of Sindhupalchowk has damaged the temporary bridge that connected Ward No. 7 and 11 of Melamchi Municipality.
According to Prakash Sapkota of the District Police Office, Sindhupalchowk, the flood damaged the bridge. He informed that repair work is being done.
It is still raining in Sindhupalchowk and the water level in rivers and streams has risen. However, Sindhupalchowk police said that no damage was reported in other places.
The floods and landslides in Sindhupalchowk in mid-June last year had caused great loss and locals are scared.
The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has forecast above-average rainfall in most parts of the country during this monsoon season.
