Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr Bimala Rai Paudyal has directed Nepal's ambassadors and heads of Nepali diplomatic missions abroad to ensure effective service delivery from the missions.
Addressing a virtual meeting from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Friday, Minister Paudyal urged the officials to immediately address the issues of Nepalis residing abroad.
According to the Ministry, Minister Paudyal asked the diplomats to highlight the foreign policy priorities with a special focus on the need to improve service delivery.
She also directed the ambassadors and heads of the diplomatic missions to deepen Nepal's ties with the friendly neighbours, increase development cooperation, take Nepali products in the global market and uplift Nepal's image by participating in different international and regional forums.
The Foreign Affairs Minister also urged the Nepali diplomats to create favourable environment for soliciting knowledge, skills and capacity of Nepalis living abroad for Nepal's development.
Furthermore, she laid emphasis for developing mechanisms to ensure services round the clock to Nepalis in the labour destination countries if they face troubles and directed the officials to make maximum efforts for the rescue and relief to Nepalis living and working abroad.
