Four arrested with brown sugar in Surkhet

The District Police Office, Surkhet has arrested four people in possession of brown sugar. The four were arrested from Birendranagar, Surkhet.

During a search, police recovered 7.4 grams of brown sugar from Bishnu Devi Shahi, 52, running a hotel at Birendranagar municipality-6, Saru Shahi,21, of Gurans rural municipality-5, Dailekh, Gaurav Chettri and Pradip Khatri of Birendranagar municipality, according to the District Police Office, Surkhet.

Police also recovered other banned drugs and Rs. 508,200 in cash from them. Further investigation is underway.

In a similar incident in Kanchanpur, police arrested an Indian national in possession of 11.87 grams of brown sugar. Aman Chand,21, of Uttarakhand, India was arrested with 11.87 grams of the banned narcotics, according to District Police Office, Kanchanpur.
