Two daughters, a son and a niece of Mansin Sarki have died in a fire that broke out in Jumla Kudari Sarkiwada village of Tila Municipality-3 last night. The deceased have been identified as 11-year-old Anu and 3-year-old Darshana, 1-year-old son Deepesh and 14-year-old niece Tirsana Sarki.
"We were informed about the fire at 11:45 pm," said Deputy Superintendent of Police Chand. He said that the second and the third floors of the house were completely damaged due to the fire.
Mansin and his wife Phaguni and sister Runchakali, who lost consciousness due to the fire, have been brought to the Karnali Institute of Health Sciences for treatment. He said that the bodies of the four deceased children were being brought to the institute for autopsy. Police said that an investigation is underway into the incident.
