Minister for Communications and Information Technology, Rekha Sharma, shared that the construction works of Ghorahi-Tulsipur four- lane road project was being implemented soon.
Minister Sharma said it at a programme organized by the CPN (Maoist Centre) at Tulsipur Sub-Metropolitan City-16 in Dang district today to exchange greetings of upcoming festivals such as Dashain, Tihar and Chhath.
Sharma informed that a tender notice would be issued for the project immediately after Tihar.
The existing Ghorai-Tulsipur road would be upgraded into four lanes for which, according to the Minister, feasibility study and other surveys had already been carried out. Furthermore, discussions on the same with the relevant Minister and agencies were underway.
Currently, the road is undergoing maintenance. Earlier, the upgrading of the dilapidated road was stalled for five years, causing traffic problems and even led to many road mishaps.
