The Ministry of Women, Children and Senior Citizens has awarded four personalities under three categories and four organisations for their best performance in controlling human trafficking and transportation.
The Ministry awarded and honoured the personalities and organisations at a programme organised on the occasion of the 17th National Day against Human Trafficking.
Head Constable of Nepal Police Headquarters, Anti-Human Trafficking Bureau, Dal Bahadur Ghising, was awarded while Nepal Police Headquarters, Anti-Human Trafficking Bureau was honoured under organisation category.
Similarly, Janaandolan. Com and Rejina Gautam of Ghatana ra Bichar from print media were honoured while Nagarik Daily was honoured under media category.
Likewise, Sita Devi Dotel of Sabal News.Com was awarded while Radio Mukti 95.5 Rupandehi was honoured under electronic media category.
Urmila Shrestha from Shakti Samuha, Kathmandu was awarded while Women Self-Reliance Centre, Sindhupalchowk, was honoured under organization category.
The 17th National Day against Human Trafficking was observed today under the theme 'Social Justice and Economic Empowerment: For Eradication of Human Trafficking'.
