Four rescued from trafficking, including minors

District Police Office, Parsa has rescued four people from India, including two minors who were trafficked. Police have rescued two young women, aged 18 and 19, who went missing from Jhapa with their infant children almost two years ago.

According to the police, they were lured into a lucrative job at a place called Chhaundadano in the Indian state of Bihar before being trafficked. A special team from the District Police Office, in coordination with Maiti Nepal Parsa and Indian Counterparts, rescued the four from the spot, police said.

Spokesperson of the District Police Office, Deputy Superintendent of Police Om Prakash Khanal said that the person involved in the human trafficking case is being identified and searched.
