The government of Gandaki Province has announced a budget of more than Rs 30.03 billion for the next fiscal year today. The budget was presented at the National Assembly by Chief Minister Krishna Chandra Nepali.
In the current fiscal year, Gandaki Province had announced a budget of over Rs 34.84 billion.
The province has received over Rs 7.42 billion from the federal government’s Fiscal Equalisation Fund. Similarly, it has received over Rs five billion through different sources. Meanwhile, the provincial government has allocated a budget of Rs 1.10 billion to provide funds to the local levels.
Each municipality will also receive Rs 10 million under the partnership mechanism between the provincial and local government.
