Germany to provide assistance worth Rs 4.80b to Nepal

The German government has made a commitment to provide financial and technical assistance worth Rs 4.80 billion to Nepal.

Germany is providing this assistance as per the bilateral aid agreement with Nepal. The present assistance is towards continuing the agreement to provide technical assistance till 2023 and financial assistance till 2025.

The German Embassy in Nepal informed that an agreement regarding the assistance was signed today by German Ambassador to Nepal Roland Schäfer and Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Finance Shree Krishna Nepal.

The German Embassy has also informed that the assistance is being provided to develop energy and renewable energy and health sector and for long-term economic development of the far-western region of Nepal.
