A Nepal Army man has claimed that he has set a new Guinness World Record for the fastest inverted stair walking. Hari Chandra Giri reportedly walked, on his hands, down 77 stairs in 25.03 seconds, 'breaking' the world record earlier kept by Mark Kenny from the United States of America, the world's best hand walker. Kenny walked, on his hand, down 77 stairs in 30.8 seconds.

The record attempt by Giri took place at stairs of Jamchen Bijaya Stupa in Budhanilkantha in Kathmandu. He would get the Guinness World Records certificate in some days, it has been said.

Permanent resident of Dang district, Giri has already set three Guinness World Records in different streams. He set his first world record for the fastest 10 meters walking on hands with a football (soccer ball) between the legs. He completed the task in 4.49 seconds.

Similarly, his second world record was his completion of 50 meters walking on hands with a football between the legs in 25.58 seconds. Also, he set his third Guinness World Record for the fastest inverted stair walking. He walked, on his hands, down 50 stairs in 12.65 seconds. Serving for the Nepali Army for the past nine years, he is now associated with the Tribhuvan Army Club.
