Vice President of the Nepali Congress and the Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Dhan Raj Gurung, has said good governance is government's mission now onward.
Minister Gurung said it while addressing the first Bhirkot municipal assembly of Nepali Congress at Bayarghari of Syangja on Friday. Anyone involved in the corruption must be punished, he underscored.
About the fake Bhutanese refugee scam, Minister Gurung underscored that investigation must be made more effective, so the culprits would not be spared. He shared that the government was supported to take ahead the investigation in the fake Bhutanese refugee scam.
According to him, time has come to eliminate trend of corruption and ensure good governance in the country. So, only speaking is not enough but action in practice, he reminded.
On a different note, he defended the citizenship bill, saying it had ensured rights to many people- those deprived of citizenship document by mother's name, Non-Resident Nepalis.
Similarly, Member of the House of Representatives, Raju Thapa, asserted that Nepali Congress would not favour those leaders in the party who have involved in corruption. They face action, he warned. NC fully cooperates with government to take action against corrupt leaders.
He also argued that citizenship bill is the present urgency.
