Govt labs to charge Rs 1,000 for PCR test

The high-level incident command system (ICS) meeting held on safety measures and prevention of COVID-19 on Wednesday decided to fix the new rate for conducting polymerase chain reaction (PCR) tests. 

From now on the government laboratories will charge Rs 1,000 per PCR test as per the notice issued by the Ministry of Health and population.

The meeting was held among ICS members in the presence of Minister for Health and Population Hridayesh Tripathi.
