Minister for Health of Bagmati Pradesh Nima Lama appreciated the service and contribution of the nurses and wished them a happy International Nurses' Day.
He expressed his best wishes on the occasion of International Nurses' Day today. Minister Lama said that the right of citizens to get quality health care has been ensured due to nurses.
In his congratulatory message, Minister Lama mentioned that the respect and esteem of the sick and the general public towards the nurses is increasing due to the determination, commitment and sincerity shown by the nurses in the fight against the pandemic of Covid-19.
Minister Lama also said that there is always a need in the health sector to provide continuous encouragement to the patients for their remarkable progress in healthcare and patience in the dedication of nurses' health services.
International Nurses' Day is celebrated worldwide in memory of the nurse Florence Nightingale. Today is being celebrated worldwide with the slogan 'One voice for nurse leadership - invest in the nursing sector to secure global healthcare'.
