Minister for Home Affairs Balkrishna Khand has said the government will prioritise the cooperatives sector for the anti-COVID-19 vaccines.

Talking to a delegation of the National Cooperatives Federation, Minister Khand mentioned that the government was managing vaccines for all involved in sensitive sectors, and those directly linked with the public would be prioritised in course of immediate management of the vaccines.

He added that the cooperatives sector was directly linked with the national economy and the public, therefore it will be prioritised in the vaccination campaign.

On the occasion, Chairperson of the federation, Minraj Kandel, said that the sector had been compelled to bear the risks due to lack of vaccination facility for those involved in the sector.
