The Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Narayan Kaji Shrestha has taken serious concern about the suffering of the Nepalis in Israel due to the ongoing fighting between the Palestinian militant group Hamas and the Israeli army since Saturday morning.
On Sunday, he contacted the Nepalese Ambassador to Israel, Kanta Rijal, and the Israeli Ambassador to Nepal, Hanan Gadar, and sought information about the situation and rescue of the Nepalese trapped in the fighting.
With the news that some Nepalis were injured and held hostage in the Gaza area, he took interest in the food, accommodation, treatment and security of them and all the Nepalis in Israel.
Nepali Ambassador Rijal has said that work is being done to take the details of injured and trapped Nepalis in the war zone and to initiate treatment and rescue. Likewise, the Israeli Ambassador Gadar has said that serious caution will be taken to prevent the effect of war on the Nepali people.
