Ambassador of South Korea to Nepal, Park Tae-yog, had a courtesy meeting with Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Narayan Kaji Shrestha.
In the meeting held at the Ministry of Home Affairs on Tuesday, bilateral relations and cooperation between Nepal and Korea were discussed between them.
On this occasion, Deputy Prime Minister Shrestha thanked South Korea for being an important development partner of Nepal and for the support provided by Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) in the construction and capacity development of Nepal Police Cyber Bureau.
He said that the main goal of Nepal is qualitative economic and social development and the role of foreign investment is important.
During the meeting, Ambassador Park said that peace, civil relations and prosperity are the basis of Nepal-South Korea relations. He said that under EPS, South Korea employs the most Nepali workers and provides social security similar to South Korean workers.
He said that the aim is to promote entrepreneurship through EPS and COICA. Ambassador Park assured that South Korea is the fourth largest development partner of Nepal and the world-famous South Korean companies including Samsung will expand their industries in Nepal in the future.
