Home Minister Bal Krishna Khand has urged all the political parties and citizens to take part in the upcoming May 13 local level elections.
At a security seminar organized in Rajbiraj, Saptari on Thursday, the Home Minister asked the local administration and security bodies to work on the creation of an election atmosphere to ensure the participation of the general public and political parties.
According to Minister Khand’s secretariat, the Home Minister appealed to the political parties that never participated in polls to join the citizens’ empowerment and development efforts by taking part in the election.
On the occasion, Minister Khand pledged that the government was committed to holding the local level polls in a free, fair, and impartial manner.
Likewise, he praised the efforts made by security bodies and local administration for security provision despite the limited resources available.
Other participants at the event shared their efforts taken for the preparation of the May 13 local level polls.
