The Home Ministry has directed the subordinate bodies to facilitate the families of the Pokhara plane crash victims to identify and manage the bodies.
At the meeting of the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority chaired by Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane tributes were extended to those killed in a plane accident and condolences to the bereaved family members.
The meeting was also attended by the representatives from the Home Ministry, Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, the Ministry of Health and Population, the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Nepal Airlines Corporation, and chiefs of the security bodies.
On the occasion, Home Minister Lamichhane directed all participants to facilitate the post-mortem of the dead bodies, in insurance provision and information to the victim families and management of dead bodies.
The Home Minister's secretariat has said the meeting discussed relaying information to the three sides in an effective manner- to the families of victims, to the foreign embassies/missions, and the media.
Lamichhane also directed the officials to set up a separate section at a teaching hospital where a post-mortem is conducted.
